Earl&Rum invite you to a weekend of beats, bleeps and breaks...
Conical Bass will be transforming the Circle of Inclusion with an interactive and immersive audio and visual installation, complete with chainsaw carvings. Offering you what feels like another mini festival onsite, inside the hand-built installation you will find remnants of an ageing old oak tree resurrected ready for the rave. If you like your hiphop, beats , breaks , oldskool , jungle , acidhouse , painos , house , techno of all dimensions then this is the place for you.
Come & get lost in the party vibes from noon every day till after dusk. With a host of quality DJ's & artists from around the NE and beyond, we'll be warming up the daytime ravers ready for the main dance tent action. Check out the interactive chainsaw sculptures spewing smoke and fog into the lasers above the crowd, whilst the pounding sound system rattles your inner soul within the enclosed area at the heart of the festival.
As day turns to night and the High Tide Dance Tent sweeps in, we'll be taking down the vibe and tuning into a lower frequency - transforming into a chill out zone until the early hours. Complete with soothing sounds and visuals and inviting sofas & hammocks - forget going back to your tent at 2am, there is no better place than here to help you to zone out, unwind & recharge.
WHO ARE CONCIAL BASS?
David Macardle aka DeadRum // Richie Elliott aka EarlGrey
Training as fabricators/welders in the motor industry during the mid/late 90s, EARL&RUM came to meet. Richie these days is now the owner of ‘DRGREEN’, a Tree Surgery & Landscaping company in the NorthEast. David is the owner of ‘MACARDLES DMI’, a design, maintenance and inspection company based within the construction industry, designing and managing various building projects in the Northeast.
The construction of anything using metal or timber is a skill that’s always appreciated at any festival. With access to a constant supply of trees, chainsaw sculpting and building materials, design and build management of any project is easily executed. Over the past twenty years, the pair have engaged in a multitude of party experiences. Always preferring anything other than just ‘a tent with speakers,’ they find their way to the most creative parties to learn & seek inspiration.
